Unlike Latin script, Devanagari script has limited styles with standardized proportion. Balbodhi is one such style for instance. Though different calligraphers use different Devanagari styles in their calligraphic work, a little standardization of those styles is observed. Considering the scope of the work in this area, Kashmirnagari project was initiated in order to standardize Devanagari style with appropriate proportion and stroke mannerism.
