Calligraphy is an art of beautiful handwriting often accomplished by using tools, surfaces and various mediums. When calligraphy expresses thoughts, emotions and feelings, it is said to be Expressive Calligraphy. There is a fine line between Expressive Calligraphy and Formal Calligraphy; the former expressing thoughts and emotions while the latter is often for beautification of letters. The expressive calligraphy focuses on bringing out the meaning and feeling associated with a particular content by exploring letter forms, their strokes, colors and layouts. In this project, I have used calligraphy to express the feelings associated to “Navaras”.
